Susan Situma

Susan Situma serves as Director of Programmes, Gender & Impact at the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF), where she leads initiatives supporting renewable energy, agribusiness, and SME development across African markets. With over a decade of experience advancing inclusive enterprise growth, she designs gender-focused programs that combine catalytic financing with mentorship, coaching, and market access for entrepreneurs, particularly women-led businesses. Previously at Absa Bank Kenya, she launched the She Business proposition and helped establish the annual Inspire Me Conference, creating structured financial and advisory support for women entrepreneurs. Her leadership reflects how targeted program design and capital allocation can strengthen SME resilience, expand economic opportunity, and advance inclusive growth across the continent.
