Risper Genga Ohaga

Risper Genga Ohaga is a Kenyan finance executive and corporate leader appointed as the incoming Group Chief Executive Officer of APA Apollo Group, a regional insurance and asset management conglomerate, effective July 2026. She currently serves as Group Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at East African Breweries PLC (EABL), where she became the first African woman to hold the role and helped strengthen the company’s financial architecture during a period of economic volatility. Before joining EABL, she spent over a decade within the Absa Group (formerly Barclays Africa), holding senior leadership positions including CFO of Barclays Bank Zambia and Managing Director for Internal Audit in Johannesburg. With a career that began in audit at KPMG Kenya and spans banking, manufacturing, and financial services, Risper brings deep expertise in financial governance, capital management, and institutional leadership. Her transition to lead APA Apollo Group places her at the center of regional insurance and investment systems that mobilize and protect capital across East Africa.
